Applications are invited for the post of Bursar of Clare Hall.  The Bursar is the principal financial officer of the College, with responsibility for the management of its finances, property, and investments, and is head of the College’s non-academic administration.  The role includes the management of an outsourced catering service.

Applicants should be of outstanding ability, with established managerial, leadership, and financial experience at a senior level, and with excellent communication skills.  The ability to absorb and respond sympathetically to the ethos of a self-governing residential College, and to participate enthusiastically in its corporate life, will be very important.  The appointment will be for five years in the first instance and thereafter with eligibility for reappointment every five years to the age of 67.  The successful candidate will be elected a Fellow of the College.  It is anticipated that the appointment is likely to be for four days per week.
